“What seeds would you choose in an apocalyptic situation? What stories will you carry with you? What type of dishes would you be able to make?”
Sesame, pumpkin and lentils were on the menu that day revealing many stories behind.

Hiba played two roles in this piece; that of Sylvia, a psychosomatic-paralyzed individual who struggles with physical and psychological challenges, and that of Laura whose extreme shyness and physical ailment hinder her social endeavors.

Here Hiba portrayed Leila, a forlorn and elderly woman whose heartache and isolation lead her to delve into a world of vivid imagination, where she immerses herself in fantasies and weaves intricate tales of her own creation.

Tektoniq Plates

In addition to writing the texts in Carol Oh Hair’s “Tektoniq Plates: Reminiscence Bump”, Hiba took part in this series of sound performances that are designed to document, anchor and render collective musical memories through electronic soundscape and Arabic-spoken poetry.

Namak

Hiba, along with other artists, founded the Beirut based reading group Namak that delivers theatrical readings in varied venues across the city.

Bahh unofficial cooperative

Also founded and is among the active members of Bahh, a performing arts cooperative aiming to decentralize culture and share it in a way that promotes social justice in Beirut.
